Skin made from granite, rough but not biting to the touch, thin and graceful as to allow normal movement and to the eye it is no different than any other human's. His 'skin' a beautiful olive hue, unmarred by blemish nor scar, it protects and dances along lean muscles that ripple with every sensual move. His body is hairless aside from the beautiful mop atop his head, his eyebrows and lashes, all made from thinly-stretched obsidian, giving it its natural shine and making it look and feel like typical, keratin strands. Eyes are no less beautiful and shine no less bright than true garnets, his pupils like that of a serpent's. Nails are made from the same substance as the horns that now decorate his skull; black diamonds. Among the other changes this once harmless-looking demigod has gone through - deep crimson veins have presented between the silver scales upon his brow, shoulders and spine.

He is of the Defender Personality Type - which is someone with the introverted, observant, feeling, and judging personality traits. These people tend to be warm and unassuming in their own steady way. They're efficient and responsible, giving careful attention to practical details in their daily lives.

While he tends to be more of an ambivert, he generally leans more towards the introverted side of the spectrum. He has a sharp wit and an even sharper tongue, generally kind and gentle despite his size and outward appearance. Always willing to help, but he is not a fool. He is extremely intelligent and tends to sit back and observe, rather than insert himself into situations. Though one should not mistake his kindness for weakness, when it comes to protecting those he loves, especially his children, Ari is deadly and ruthless.

Aridaios was created by a union of Hephaestus and Helikon of the Ourea to bring forth a sentient creature that embodied the raw power of the very earth itself. The embodiment of destruction, he was made to be the world's end by unleashing its own fury upon itself. Forged from the rawest materials of the world within the magical fires of Hephaestus's forge - he was made to be the end of all ends. A glorious revenge and rise to power for both Helikon and Hephaestus. What was not foreseen, was his egg slipping from Helikon's grasp and falling from Olympus...lost to the gods and found by humans.

A young sorcerer traveled along the base of Mount Olympus, hoping to get closer to the gods in order to make sense of his recent dreams, though they truly were closer to nightmares. A great mountain rising up in the shape of a beastly dragon, maw gaping and spilling magma, destroying everything in its path. He had been having the same dream for over a month, his waking thoughts were plagued by the images - so much so he did not even see the large, spiney black egg that sat in a small crater to the side of the path he traveled till his hound barked and ran to it. Puzzled by the randomness of it, he approached carefully, wondering how long it had been there and where it came from. He wondered if this was someway connected to his dreams. Casting a simple levitation spell upon the massive egg in order to get it home, where he kept a close eye on it. Ultimately though, he decided to sell it on the local underground market, believing it better to be rid of it.

Aridaios was never really born, he was never a young boy playing in the fields or streets of Greece. He had always been grown, always a slave, always exactly how he was. The man who bought the large black egg had thought it no more than a relic and proudly displayed in the front room of his house for his friends to see when they walked in. So imagine his surprise several months later when it began to crack, he watched it for hours before finally Aridaios hatched from it. A full grown man with piercing silver eyes staring up at him from the floor, just as bewildered as he was.
